Prosecutors search Dagestani offices, open criminal gas cases
MAKHACHKALA, Jan 31 (PRIME) -- Russian prosecutors have searched offices of almost 1,000 companies in the republic of Dagestan following the discovery of many unfounded gas bills for households and opened 8 criminal cases, Prosecutor of the republic Denis Popov said on Thursday at a meeting of the authority.
The prosecutors started a criminal case after a check of gas consumption by hothouses.
Popov said that the checks revealed “criminal schemes of large scale embezzlement of gas and money” paid by gas consumers.
